The UW Chemical Engineering AIChE Student Chapter hosted the 2016 Pacific Northwest AIChE Student Chapter Conference on April 15-16. 85 chemical engineering students from several universities attended the conference.
Friday night featured a welcome mixer and a chemical engineering "jeopardy" competition with categories like dimensionless numbers, electricity and circuits and process safety. Students competed with their research papers and ChemE cars on Saturday, concluding the event with an awards banquet.
We are happy to report that the UW ChemE students dominated the competitions, winning the 1st and 3rd places in the research paper competition, 1st place in the ChemE car competition and in the ChemE jeopardy.
Congratulations to the winners, thank you to the judges, and kudos to the AIChE conference organizers for a successful conference!
