ChemE PhD candidate Trevor Braun (Advisor: Prof. Schwartz) was selected by the Electrochemical Society as this year's Norman Hackerman Young Author Awardee.
The Norman Hackerman Young Author Award was established in 1928 and is the second oldest award given by the Electrochemical Society. The ECS's top recognition for a young scientist, the award is given to the best paper published in the Journal of The Electrochemical Society by a young author or co-authors in the volume year preceding the award. Braun's 2015 paper, Localized Electrodeposition and Patterning Using Bipolar Electrochemistry, was independently selected by ECS for this honor.
"I am delighted to be recognized by the Electrochemical Society for this research and would like to acknowledge my advisor Dan Schwartz, who's guidance and diligence shaped the work presented in this publication," Braun said.
Braun will formally receive the award during the 230th ECS Meting in Honolulu, Hawaii in October.
