I became interested in chemical engineering during my internship at Marsavco, a manufacturing company, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Central Africa. I choose UW ChemE because of numerous opportunities offered to be involved in research, industry, and leadership.
I had the opportunity to be selected for a special design project. I will be working with a group of other students on Data science Tools to Formulate Personalized Fragrances.
My advice would be that it takes a little bit of discipline and love for ChemE to get through it. Work hard and believe in yourself. However, stay open minded and explore all the possibilities in ChemE and outside.
