Students will need to apply and be admitted by the Graduate School before enrolling in the Battery Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing program. All students must therefore meet the minimum admission requirements for graduate students outlined by the Graduate School.
This certificate is designed for working professionals with a bachelor's degree from a four-year, accredited institution in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, chemistry, or physics.
Students applying for admission should submit the following:

Any post-secondary education, including any degrees, certificate programs, other coursework and professional development.

Statement of purpose describing in about 750 words or less:

The applicant's interest and background in battery technology and why the applicant seeks deeper education in this area.

The applicant's educational, career and/or personal goals, and how this certificate specifically contributes to those goals.
