Student Winners at Regional AIChE Conference

UW Chem E students take First Place, Third Place and Honorable Mention at the Pacific Northwest Regional AIChE Student Chapter Conference held this year at Washington State University, April 25-26. Zach Girod (shown center below) took First Place with his paper on "Skin Adhesion." Casey Hsu (shown right below) took Third Place with his presentation on "The Marangoni Effect," and Zack Jarin (shown left below) received Honorable Mention for his paper entitled "Using Molecular Simulation to Understand Solvent Effects for Biomass." Zach Girod and Casey Hsu work with Prof. Berg, while Zack Jarin works with Prof. Pfaendtner.
