Graduate student Jeffrey Richards won an "ACNS Outstanding Student Poster Presentation Prize" at the American Conference on Neutron Scattering (ACNS), held in Washington, D.C. June 24-28. Richards' poster, "Structure and Properties of Porous Poly(3-hexylthiophene) Gel Particles in Aqueous Dispersion," won the best poster competition in the soft condensed matter and biology research area. His project focuses on researching new methods for making thin-film polymer solar cells out of organogels that are dispersed in aqueous solutions, and is funded by a grant from the Department of Energy Office of Energy Sciences.

Richards is a student in Prof. Lilo Pozzo's research group.
