HOTEL
Rooms have been reserved and group rates negotiated at the two hotels nearest to Benson Hall, both just a few blocks away:

Rates are for single occupancy, before taxes and fees. $10 additional charge per night for each additional adult. Local taxes and fees are currently 15.6%.

To receive the group rate, please mention that your reservation is in conjunction with the UW Chemical Engineering Centennial Celebration.

DIRECTIONS

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to the University of Washington

DRIVING
From the rental car area, proceed onto North Exit Drive.Travel approximately 1.3 miles and merge onto WA-518 East toward I-5, Seattle, Tacoma and I-405. Merge onto I-5 North (exit on left) and proceed toward Seattle. Take exit number 169, NE 45th Street, University of Washington. Proceed off the ramp onto 7th Avenue NE. Turn right onto NE 45th Street. Turn right onto 15th Avenue NE.Turn Left into central garage parking near the intersection of NE 41st Street and 15th Avenue NE.

SHUTTLE BUS
Shuttles and buses run almost continuously around the clock, with scheduled departure and arrival times.

The Ground Transportation Information Booth is located on the third floor of the Parking Garage at SeaTac. Please dial 55 from any Traveler's Information Board at the base of the baggage claim escalators for ground transportation information.

Shuttle services are also located on the third floor of the parking garage unless otherwise noted in the description. (The full-size buses pick up and drop off at the main terminal.) See Shuttle Express (425-981-7000 or 1-800-487-7433) for shared ride door-to-door service.

TAXI CABS AND LIMOUSINES
Taxi cabs and limousines meet travelers on the third floor of the Parking Garage. To arrange for a taxi or limo, use one of the curbside phones, Information Boards, or visit the Ground Transportation Center, located on the third floor of the Parking Garage.

PUBLIC TRANSIT
Public transportation services are available to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Public transit bus routes serve the Airport outside Door 6 by baggage carousel #1, on the Baggage Claim (lower) level. Singles Fares are $1.25 to $2.00 One Way. All day passes are available for $2.00 on Sundays and Holidays.

METRO TRANSIT
(1-800-542-7876 or 1-206-287-8463) suggested routes from the Airport to the University:

For Daily Service before 7:00 PM
Take Route 194 to Downtown Seattle. Request a transfer when you pay your fare. Get off the bus at Westlake Station, Bay A in the Bus Tunnel. From Westlake Station, Bay A take Route 73 (Jackson Park Express) to NE Campus Parkway and Brooklyn Avenue NE. Walk two blocks east to the main campus.

For Daily Service after 7:00 PM
Take Route 194 to Downtown Seattle. Request a transfer when you pay your fare. Get off the bus at Third Avenue and Union Street in downtown Seattle. Wait there for the Route 71 Wedgewood bus. Get off the bus at NE Campus Parkway and University Way NE. Walk one block east to the main campus.

PARKING

Recommended parking in the Central Plaza Garage, located at the intersection of 15th Avenue NE and NE 41st Street on the west side of the campus.

Rates
Weekdays:  $9.00 all day (no in/out privileges)
$4.00 after 4:00 pm

Saturday:  $4.00 all day (NOTE: please tell the parking attendant you are attending the Chemical Engineering event to prevent being charged the Husky Football game day rate of $20.00)
