Chemical Engineering

Academic Programs

The Department of Chemical Engineering offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The department's Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering emphasizes basic subjects such as thermodynamics, transport phenomena, reaction engineering, and applied mathematics. The B.S. in Chemical Engineering degree enables graduates to find employment in industry, apply for a professional license, or continue on for graduate study.

For graduate students, we offer studies leading to the Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering, Master of Science in Chemical Engineering, and Master of Science in Engineering degrees. Graduate students study and collaborate with members of the faculty in an informal and intellectually vigorous atmosphere. The range of interests among faculty members is broad, so students have access to a variety of fields while still receiving individual attention and guidance.
