Professor Shaoyi Jiang co-authored an article entitled “Catch, Kill, and Release” that was highlighted in the Oct. 31, 2008 issue of Science and the November 2008 issue of Natural Materials. Jiang and other UW researchers engineer coatings that combine antimicrobial and nonfouling properties. These coating may have a range of applications in implantable medical devices and more.
