Professor Jim Davis has continued his research work on the detection and identification of biological aerosols with the assistance of a chemistry doctoral student, Atanu Sengupta, and two undergraduates, Steve Huang and Yusyani Setyono. He traveled to Belgium in August to chair a session on bioaerosols at the annual European Aerosol Conference, and he met with the editorial board of the Journal of Aerosol Science in his capacity as editor-in-chief of that journal. He has also been preparing a series of lectures on chemical engineering in emerging technologies to be given in China, where he is an adjunct professor of chemical engineering at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China.
